1. Reconcile us back to God – 2 Cor 5:19, Matt 1:23 Jesus’ life was lived to obey God on behalf of our lives so we could have the blessing & be redeemed from the curse or punishment for our sins. 1 Jn 2:2, 1 Jn 4:10.
2. To reveal God’s Will for every area of life – John 1:17-18 Jesus showed His will to forgive, heal, deliver, & show up for people’s lives through what He did for people while He was on the earth. He revealed the Father’s will more than any prophet or Old Testament man of God! Jesus is the Way to understanding the TRUTH about God.
3. To Destroy the world of satan – 1 Jn 3:8, Acts 10:38 Jesus didn’t come to destroy His Father’s doing, but the devils. We are in a war against evil, not God. He, through Christ, is at peace & goodwill toward all men for this dispensation until the end. Luke 2:14
4. To reveal what sons are & do – Rom 8:17, John 14:4-12, John 20:21, Mk 16:15-18 Jesus came to be an epoch of a new era, a new time, a new wine skin, & a new covenant. He lived as we can live. He was baptized in water, then filled with the Holy Spirit & then He told us the same!
5. Jesus wasn’t just a Christmas sacrament or a one-time show to wow the masses or just a prayer to pray. He was EVERYTHING WE are waiting for & all the prophets were speaking of, & fulfillment of all the festivals, sacrifices, & customs! He was the reason for the Word & should be our interpretation of the Word!
