In this dream, a minister who flowed in miracles & glory who wasn’t alive was on the steps of the very hotel I was staying in Saudi. I was happy to see him. He greeted me but then held me…tight like a Father & the love of a Father just filled my senses 😭😭😭
Then He said, show them the mantle of sonship or daughtership 🥹🥹🥹
1. The Holy Spirit IS THE MANTLE of baptism into sonship. 🤯🤯🤯
“And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 3:17 NKJV
Jesus was mantled with sonship after the Holy Spirit came upon Him…Wait a sec… He hadn’t even started His ministry, but the START OF MINISTRY should end with completing our need for Fatherhood. I am well pleased to come into your heart.
Oh my gosh, I remember when I was filled with the Holy Spirit and over and over having encounters afterward with Him speaking to my heart…that had felt alone, orphaned, & like a failure. He touched and spoke to me the missing words or healing words to voices who were or weren’t there growing up.
2. His Fatherhood rights and love for us were before we existed.
Somehow, it pleased the Father to crush the Son, so you and I could have Him back again in our lives. 😭😭😭
“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.”
Isaiah 53:10 NKJV,
“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2 NKJV
Even Christ, I believe, received strength (Neh. 8:10) to endure the cross through the joy of seeing us being rescued and redeemed by the Father.
3. It’s the Basis or START of our ability to be led by the Spirit and not by our emotions or TRIGGERS 🤯🤯🤯
I always used to see vs. 14 👇👇👇 out of pressure like, “If you are a son, you better be led by the Spirit” more than the context of BECAUSE YOU have received the Spirit of adoption and sonship and joint-heirship as the inheritance of covering, backing, love, etc. that Jesus had🤯🤯🤯
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:14-17 NKJV,
4. He continually speaks to us to confirm we are His sons and daughters.
I remember time & time again when my best just didn’t bring the necessary result or outcome, and the Father would speak to me that I was perfect or amazing as a son 😭😭😭
Most of us don’t grow up like that, so it’s needed more than we know.
“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”” Galatians 4:6 NKJV & Romans 8:16 👆👆👆(3)
5. Adam knew an intimate Father who was with Him in the cool (Spirit) of the day.
When he sinned, he lost sonship, and an intimate Father became a distant God. Only a few (15) mentions of God being expressed as a Father in the Old Testament. 165 times just in the four Gospels alone.
Adams’s sin made OUR HEAVENLY FATHER a distant God, whereas Jesus’ sacrifice brought Him to being an intimate Father, and even His life and verbiage included us in the benefits of sonship…usage and access!
6. His love cancels our human ambition (not godly vision or work ethic 😏) or triggers.
I don’t know about you, but I have had a hard time SUBmitting or SUB-fitting in someone, well, anyone’s commands…we always feel like we are LOSING to give up something or to PREFER others’ ways over ours (not talking about Christs Way or Words just non-imperative methodology) but when HE speaks to you, THIS EARTHLY image, reputation, & all it has passed away in comparison to His love or Fatherhood rights over us.
Even the need for titles can be a cover for a lack of confidence in the Father. When God honors me, nobody’s honor matters.
Functions in the body are great, but most who need titles usually have to guard an unmet need. I’d RATHER BE CALLED A SON ALL DAY by God our Father who will be there forever than the apostle, prophet, pastor, man of God, etc, by people who may or may not be there tomorrow.
Saul loved the temporary approval of people, whereas David found him in a secret place.
In John 5:41, Jesus said I don’t receive honor from men…why? Because it’s not pure. It’s mostly motivated.
But God’s honor solidifies the son or daughter in you. It solidifies affirmation & acceptance inside of you so everyone else’s is either nice or if no difference to you on the INSIDE BECAUSE HE’S already made you.
Let’s receive the mantle of true sonship & allow the Holy Spirit to heal our inward fighting & striving. He’s more for you than you think.
After all of this & our hearts are made whole. You are truly able to show love to the world around us & model sonship to those who are saved 🥹🥹🥹
