To Purpose in our hearts to follow Christ in extraordinary ways. (Read Scriptures waaaayyyyy below)
Daniel (not God or people telling him or holding him accountable) purposed in his heart to not eat food from Babylon & to keep himself…
God’s looking for people who are purposing in their hearts to serve, sacrifice, slay, fast, preach, heal, disciple, etc, all on their own…
“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore, he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.”
Daniel 1:8 NKJV
If Daniel purposed in his heart, then so can we!
- He was in worse situations than we are & still followed through.
- He wasn’t (nor was anyone in the Old Testament) born again but yet set himself apart.
- Had egregious & life-threatening leadership while he served the Lord.
- Was taken captive & most likely castrated, but yet still had a great and faith-filled attitude.
- His only spiritual leader was God…nobody was keeping him accountable 🥹🥹🥹 so we can follow through.
- He was single 🤯🤯🤯 and still was strong and focused. I rarely meet couples that COMPLETE each other. If you lack now, you will be lacking when you are married. Spouses don’t complete us; they are additions to the calling of Christ. Both Daniel and Paul were POWERFUL and focused yet single.🤯
All this to say, Daniel could have had excuses, but he had a purpose! His love and fear of God conditioned him to follow Christ no matter the season or circumstances and so can we.
God’s looking for us to purpose in our hearts! What’s he asking you to do?
Love you guys!
